Simcoe Muskoka Skillforce continues to work hard to provide better local labour market insights and solutions. This is the 12th year that the Simcoe Muskoka Skillforce has conducted employer research. In past years, the research themes focused on specific workforce issues, most recently identifying workforce or business trends experienced by employers, assessing labour shortages and skill gaps, learning about strategies used for recruitment, retention, and training, exploring views regarding recent technologies, and probing further about policies related to remote work.
This year, the focus of our research is on under-represented groups, AI policy, and mental health issues in the workplace.
