About 2050 Climate Group
Since 2014, 2050 Climate Group has been working to engage, educate and empower Scotland’s young people to take action on climate change.

We are a youth run and primarily volunteer-led registered charity (SC047206) with a team of over 60 volunteers based across Scotland. Our committed Board focuses on the strategic aims of the organisation while developing new, exciting opportunities (like Malawi’s Climate Leaders project). Our operational team members run the day to day outputs of the organisation (including the Young Leaders Development Programme), and our small team of dedicated staff oversee all our efforts.

Our ambition is to start a social movement of passionate, active young people who are equipped with climate change knowledge and leadership skills so that our generation can lead the way to a sustainable, low carbon society.

About the Role
The role of an Operational Team Member is a voluntary position that will give you the opportunity to participate in, shape, and promote the future delivery of the 2050 Climate Group. As an Ops team member, you will help run the day-to-day activities of 2050 Climate Group. You will mainly work within a subgroup to deliver that subgroup's core activities, but there will also be opportunities to volunteer on other projects (e.g., at YLDP modules, or organising away days).

Our Ops Team is divided into 3 subgroups: YLDP, Leaders' Network, and Policy. Please see the role advertisement page for a full description of each subgroup.
