Our Stand:  Commitment To Our Students and To Our Twelve Community Colleges
Our stand takes the form of SERVICE TO OUR STUDENTS AND OUR INSTITUTIONS:

We erect a conceptual picket line around an institution that exists only as a vague idea:

• We will cease voluntary work** toward the college described in the “Students First” plan.  

We encourage faculty and staff to commit time that was scheduled for consolidation workgroups instead to supporting students and innovating at their own institutions.  We also encourage faculty to revise additional responsibility plans as necessary.  

• We will not participate in the pretense of a governance process by voting on products of the plan

We encourage colleges to forgo voting on curricular proposals and, instead, to detail the standards of governance and quality of product that would make such a vote legitimate.
