2019 "Leave the Scene Clean" Calendar Requests
Keep Lee County Beautiful, Inc. (KLCB) is pleased to announce the winners in the 29th annual "Leave The Scene Clean" Calendar Art Contest. The contest drew thousands of entries from local students, representing public, private, and home schools in Lee County. Submitted work was judged on artistic execution and originality as well as environmental theme, such as litter prevention, recycling, community cleanup and protecting the environment.

The 12 First Place selections, one from each grade 1 through 12, in addition to the cover winner, will be featured in KLCB's full color 2019 "Leave The Scene Clean" Calendar. Also selected were Honorable Mentions in each grade. KLCB will host an awards ceremony at the Broadwav Palm Theatre on Monday, September 24th with a 6:30 PM reception and the awards ceremony starting at 7:00 PM (the event is free and open to the public) at which time the artwork will be exhibited, the calendar will be released, and the winners will receive their awards. The cover winner and senior winner will each be presented with a $500 cash scholarship courtesy of Covanta.

Each calendar month contains a different student work of art. The back cover will feature an environmental message by N. Fort Myers High School student Isabella DeMay, the 2019 cover winner.

Your school can request these popular full color calendars to sell and raise funds to complete an environmental project on your campus!

All environmental projects MUST BE COMPLETE BY MAY 15, 2019. A report with the project description, photos (and/or videos), # of students, # of hours MUST BE SUBMITTED TO Trish@klcb.org by May 15, 2019. If no report is received by May 15, 2019, the school will be ineligible to receive calendar next year...our 30th Anniversary calendar...it will be GREAT!
