Dear Colleagues, Scholars, and Practitioners,
The Organizing Committee of the World Applied Anthropology Congress (WAAC-2026) warmly invites you to submit Roundtable Proposals for inclusion in this landmark global event. WAAC-2026 provides an inclusive platform for anthropologists, social scientists, development professionals, climate experts, policymakers, and community leaders to engage in focused conversations on the pressing challenges posed by climate change and migration. Anchored in applied anthropology, the Congress seeks to promote dialogue that bridges global and local perspectives while advancing actionable knowledge on adaptation, resilience, and mitigation strategies.
Roundtables offer an interactive space for critical engagement, encouraging open exchange rather than formal presentations. We particularly welcome proposals that highlight interdisciplinary collaboration, policy relevance, global as well as grassroots engagement, and practice-based innovations. Proposals should clearly articulate the roundtable theme, include a brief abstract (not exceeding 500 words), and list 3–6 confirmed participants with their affiliations and roles. We look forward to your active participation in shaping meaningful and solution-oriented conversations at WAAC-2026.
