Indemnification: "The applicant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair Association, the Board of Directors, and the City of Manhattan Beach and its elective or appointive boards, officers, agents, attorneys and employees from any and all claims, liabilities, expenses, or damages of any nature, including attorney fees arising out of, or in any way connected with performance of, the Agreement by the applicant, the applicant's agents, officers, employees, subcontractors, or independent contractors hired by the applicant.  This indemnity shall apply to all claims and liability regardless of whether any insurance policies are applicable.  The policy limits do not act as a limitation upon the amount of indemnification to be provided by the applicant." *

The Hometown Fair Rules: The purpose of the Civic Corner is to feature City support services and City-sponsored community projects to promote civic engagement. There will be no sales or money collected in these booths.  This includes donation containers, drawings or lottery for a “prize.” There are to be no “free samples” passed out. No physical contact is allowed outside of handshaking or incidental friendly contact. You may distribute information only, collect signatures on petitions, and take names for future contact purposes. You and/or your organization is responsible for providing all materials (pop-up tent, tables, chairs, etc.) and labor to set up, dismantle, and clear away your booth. The booth workers agree to abide by these rules and clean up the surrounding area and remove the booth structure in a timely manner at the close of the Fair on Sunday. There is no electricity available, and no generators are allowed. Participants must conform to all entry and exit traffic patterns and parking instructions. Participants will not move to another location without official permission. Participants must operate only within their designated booth space; no roving is permitted. Booths must conform to size restrictions on all sides and not infringe on walkways. One of your designated contact persons MUST be in the booth for opening and closing of the Fair both days.  All booth workers must wear a badge or name tag that indicates their name and the group name. The Fair Board reserves the right to ask you to leave if you do not follow these guidelines, or you are causing a disturbance that is affecting the safety of the Fair participants. All the Hometown Fair rules are to be followed: no dogs, bicycles, skateboards or weapons.  Failure to comply with these rules can result in closure and may exclude your participation in future fairs. *
Important Information for Applicants: Booth Spaces are 10’ X10.’ Applicants must provide all materials (pop-up tents, table, chairs, etc.) and labor to set up, dismantle, and clear away their booth. Applications must be received by August 31st. Applicants will be notified by September 15th. Applicants are required to occupy the booth both Saturday and Sunday, during the entire time the fair is open. By September 20th, you will be mailed one vehicle pass (if needed), map of the fair grounds and all additional information. Your organization’s booth name will be identified on the ground in chalk in the Civic Corner on the day of the fair. If you have any questions, email Kim Edwards at information@mbfair.org.
