CONNECTdmv is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works with independent schools across the DMV to support student dialogue, leadership, and community engagement.
Last year, CONNECTdmv hosted a Student Engagement Summit, structured similarly to SDLC (Student Diversity Leadership Conference), featuring student- and expert-led workshops on equity and school-community issues. Past workshops explored topics such as curriculum diversification, conflict resolution, mental health, academic integrity, supporting essential workers, and costs beyond tuition.
This year, the summit will feature a keynote speaker, Dr. Rockeymoore Cummings, WWC SheSource who will discuss how you go about making change. Dynamic workshops will be offered on civil discourse, mental health and wellness, sustainability, and more.
