Vice President

Ashley Roberts: "I am interested in serving as Vice President of the Public Safety Athletic Trainers' Society because I have a deep respect for both the public safety community and the athletic trainers, human performance professionals, and medical providers who dedicate their careers to supporting those who serve others.

Throughout my career, I have been passionate about advancing human performance within tactical populations and helping bridge the gap between traditional sports medicine and the unique demands of law enforcement, fire service, EMS, and other public safety professions. As this field continues to grow, I believe organizations like PSATS play a critical role in advocating for athletic trainers, providing meaningful continuing education opportunities, and ensuring our profession remains relevant, specialized, and focused on the needs of the tactical community.

Having served in leadership roles throughout my career, I understand the importance of building strong teams, fostering collaboration, and creating opportunities for professional growth. If elected, I would focus on helping PSATS continue its momentum by expanding engagement, strengthening educational offerings, increasing awareness of the value athletic trainers bring to public safety organizations, and supporting the next generation of professionals entering this space.

Most importantly, I believe in building something bigger than ourselves—a community of dedicated professionals committed to continually improving the health, readiness, resilience, and longevity of the tactical athletes we serve. It would be an honor to help guide that mission forward and contribute to the continued growth and impact of PSATS."

Josh True: Josh True, MS, LAT, ATC: "My interest in serving as the Education Coordinator for the Public Safety Athletic Trainers Society is to aid in the advancement of knowledge, skills, and impact athletic trainers can have working within the public safety setting. My goal is to provide members with quality evidence-based educational content and resources to assist them in program development or areas that can be immediately implemented to enhance the care of public safety professionals. The ability to bring important and emerging topics to the forefront of our profession, ensures that athletic trainers are equipped to meet the unique demands of this population. Through education, collaboration, and professional development, I hope to contribute to the continued growth and recognition of athletic training as an essential component of public safety health and performance."
