Career Navig8 Lake County is set to be a large-scale event hosted at the Lake County Fairgrounds on October 22, 2025. This event will be open to all 8th graders and select groups of high schoolers in Lake County and is designed to motivate students to continue exploring and planning their careers in partnership with area businesses. This Career Exploration Day aims to provide students with a valuable opportunity to connect with various businesses representing multiple career clusters.
The purpose of Career Navig8 is to offer hands-on experiences that align with the districts’ comprehensive career readiness curriculum in tandem with the PaCE Framework. This will help students gain a deeper understanding of the diverse career opportunities available within our community and across different career pathways. The event supports our mission to develop students who are self-directed learners, collaborative workers, complex thinkers, quality producers, and community contributors.
Our goal is to involve a wide range of businesses and individuals, each representing different career pathways. Every business will have a booth featuring a hands-on activity to engage students and provide insight into their respective careers. Throughout the day, all students from all junior high schools in Lake County will visit the various career booths, enhancing their career exploration journey.
