*Special note for W&M students:
We love our Tribe tutors and are committed to offering you the experience of tutoring. Before you attend training, please think carefully about your availability. Our learners benefit from a consistent relationship with their tutors. We prefer that our W&M tutors train in August or September and commit for the duration of the school year. If you plan to stay in the area and tutor over the summer, then you are welcome to train at any time. Otherwise, shorter matches are disruptive for our learners, who have to return to the waiting list for weeks or months before being re-matched. If you are only available to tutor for a few months, we encourage you to volunteer for CPALS or other tutoring programs as promoted by the Office of Community Engagement, as those programs align more naturally with W&M's academic calendar.
