2025 Vendor opportunity application 
Each year leading up to an event I am inundated with DMs and emails from vendors who missed applications or didn't realize we had an event coming up. There are a few ways you can make sure you don't miss out like turning on your notifications for our accounts or signing up for the newsletter. 
The newsletter however has more of a focus on in store and marketing for events. Not necessarily a vendor call out. 

This vendor opportunity application will serve a few purposes. 
-To directly contact those who have shown interest in our events.
-To connect you with other events that might align with your business.
-Sharing events and workshops with a focus on growth and marketing for your business. 

Your information will not be shared or sold as a contact list. 

I am still working out how best to curate our events to the community and our shopping demographic. Our event is not for every business. There are vendors who will make close to $10,000 at one of our events and at the same event there could be vendors who barely make back their vendor booth fees. Not every event is for every vendor and I cannot promise proof of purchase. 

Event Dates for 2025: 
Fall  September 21st Morrow building
Holiday  November 9th Morrow building
Vintage Modern Christmas Nov 30th -Kawartha Downs
Christmas for the kids Dec 13th and 14th- Kawartha Downs

Each event invitation will have the fee structure and investment options listed.

This is a live form on our site where vendors can submit their info for our events at any time. Over time I'm sure the list will grow and there will be times where events are already fully booked before people add their names. This form will also serve as a cancellation list. Should spaces become available, I'll refer to applications here before posting publicly. 

-All food and drink vendors are required to have Peterborough Public Health special event forms filled out for our events. This includes hot and cold served foods, baked goods, packaged food goods etc. 
-All vendors are required to have insurance for our events and they are also required to fill out a 3rd party release and waiver stated mandatory by the City of PTBO to make sure they are not liable for any injury or death within their facilities.

Demographics. Our events typically attract a wide variety of demographics but we do see common themes among our shoppers. Which demographic would your products be most popular with. (Saying "Everyone" is not a demographic. You should be specific with your target audience)
Our main demographics are Women and young families with the Millennials (25-40 yrs ) middle income (50k-100k) AND the Gen X and Boomers (41-65+ yrs) middle income (50k-100k) groups.

At the Modern Market events, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, religion, ability, or age. We are strong ally's in the LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse communities. It is important that vendors know we will share content to support these communities. It is also important that our vendors understand we are all different in our abilities and it's inappropriate to compare our events to other events.
