Conference Application

NOTE: The deadline for applications for the in-person conference closed on December 8, 2024 at midnight Pacific Time. You are welcome to complete this application if you are interested in joining follow-up virtual events.

This project, funded by the National Science Foundation (Award #2413236) and hosted by the Lawrence Hall of Science’s Center for K–12 Science at the University of California, Berkeley, will bring together teachers, researchers, education leaders, and instructional material designers to build a shared understanding of how to integrate the use of high-quality instructional materials with the benefits of localizing these materials to better meet the diverse needs of students.

The Conference Series includes a 2-day in-person conference in Berkeley, CA, on February 6–7, 2025, as well as follow-up virtual sessions. Participants may attend the virtual sessions even if they did not attend the in-person conference.

Attendance at the in-person conference is limited to 50 participants. Grant funds are available to support travel and childcare costs for a subset of attendees. Decisions will be made by the project Advisory Board.

This will be a working conference and participants will be expected to be active participants in developing conference outcomes and products. Please read more information about the conference here before applying.
