The Law Enforcement and Fire Personnel Recovery Grants Program is a grants program of United Way of the Wine Country in partnership with Community Foundation Sonoma County. This grant is made possible with proceeds from ticket sales from the Thicker Than Smoke two-day event at the Green Music Center in August 2018. The intent of this grant program is to provide small grants to law enforcement and fire personnel who lost their homes in the fires while at the same time were working to save the homes and lives of members of our community.
Who Should Apply?
All law enforcement or fire personnel who lost their home in Sonoma County as a result of the October 2017 fires.
All applicants must meet the following criteria:must meet the following criteria: • Active law enforcement or fire personnel during the October 2017 fires • Lost primary residence in Sonoma County as a result of the October 2017 fires
Funding will be awarded in December 2018. The grant amount will depend upon the number of applicants, but are not expected to exceed $1,500.
• Applications must be received by 5:00pm on Friday, November 30th, 2018 • Proof of employment is required.
