Support for a recommendation to retain the Highly Capable Cohort model
We are gathering signatures of those who support the recommendation put forward by the Cascadia Elementary PTA Board in a Seattle Times Op Ed.

The recommendation is for SPS to retain the current HCC program for now, while doubling down on its efforts to make the highly capable identification process more equitable.  The Op Ed lays out the case that moving to a local advanced learning/HC delivery model - where no such model exists and no funding is proposed - will serve no one and hurt everyone.

All signatures collected will be shared with Superintendent Brent Jones and the SPS Board of Directors as endorsing the position of the OpEd.

May 3 @ 6:00 AM Update: Thank you for those that have signed on!  We are currently 1000+ signatures strong and have updated this form to enable non-parents to also show their support. We will be reaching out to the District today with an update, and will continue to leave the survey open for longer to continue gathering signatues signaling support for these recommendations.
