Please Note: ALL volunteer positions and shifts will be filled and confirmed in advance with our volunteer coordinator. If you have not made specific arrangements in advance with our volunteer coordinator please do not arrive and assume you'll be able to volunteer for a ticket. We DO NOT accept walk up volunteers.
Also Note: Volunteers from last year will be given first choice on shifts and positions this year. After that, if we have any available positions, we will fill our remaining shifts with qualified applicants in the order they were received. We will reach out to you if your application is accepted.
Generally we need volunteers for the following jobs:Pre-festival Site PrepGate check-inParkingTrash/Green Team Hospitality SecurityShower/Bathroom SupervisionPost-festival Clean Up
*Accepted and Confirmed Volunteers will each pay $20 (cash only collected at the gate) for their ticket to The Big What? and work a total of 8 hours at the festival. This can be scheduled with our volunteer coordinator as two (2) four hour shifts or one (1) long eight hour shift. Our coordinator will try to accommodate your shifts so you don't have to miss your favorite bands, but this may not be possible in certain situations depending on what shifts are still available.
*1st year volunteers will be asked to pay a $120 cash deposit at check in. We will return $100 to you after your shifts have been completed. Any volunteers who do NOT complete their shifts as agreed to in advance will not have their deposit returned and will not be eligible to volunteer for future events.
*A welcome letter containing more detailed information on scheduling, set-up, parking, camping etc. will be sent to accepted volunteers prior to the festival
