"Notes from the Artist's Studio Course"

This NASM course includes suggestions and lessons by artists with studio practices who share what they know and would want to impart to emerging makers about form and their approaches to art making and specific forms.

Faculty Include:

  • Professor Iris Bernblum, whose practice includes sculpture, painting, drawing, video and performance
  • Professor María Berrío, known for large scale works using Japanese paper and watercolor
  • Professor Jeffrey Gibson, whose practice includes immersive, multi-sensory installations
  • Professor Steffani Jemison, known for connecting mark-making, gesture, proposal, projection, movement, and document.
  • Professor Dindga McCannon, known for paintings, quilts, prints and sculpture
  • Professor Angel Otero, known for work in the field of abstract expressionism

The Basics
