Chapter 3 Afterthoughts
The femicide of the River Asume area continues in Chapter 3; residents from the villages in the River Asume area are in deep distress. For the past 19 years, their women have been pushing out dead babies. The traditional birth attendants are being blamed for ‘spiritually eating’ the children with witchcraft, thus are being rounded up and killed. The real reason for the birth problems? Cyanide pollution from goldmining many years ago from a conglomerate goldmining company. These were the after-effects.

Wadjet has called an emergency meeting at the MoonGirl Shrine to plan their line of action to save the situation. Everyone is present except Dede who has is on mission underseas to find out the effect of the situation below The Waters as well.

Chapter 3 introduces readers to Water MoonGirl Dede, a marine biologist who can go underwater to commune with the ancient African marine divinities for guidance in curbing human ocean pollution. Dede has a plan, something that breaks all divine and natural rules. But she feels this is the only way to save the oceans; at the rate human beings are going in their steady and hefty degradation of the seas, an Armageddon was brewing.  She hoped she would be able to convince the Pantheon, who were one half of her solution.

Something new is happening: Pirates and a rising underwater Faction acting independently of the laws of the Ancient Pantheon of Mami Wata seem to be new players in this war. This introduces new complexities to the situation.
