Honors/AP Application - SCIENCE
Critical thinking, analyses of experimental data and/or factual information and the application of basic concepts will be those learning skills which will be stressed. This necessitates that students be self-motivated, with the ability and willingness to work independently on long-range reading assignments and laboratory reports. Group cooperation and interaction are also expected of those individuals enrolled in the SCIENCE HONORS PROGRAM. Personal motivation, intellectual curiosity about science, relevant questioning and active participation in class activities are the characteristics of the pupils, who should be applying for the HONORS SCIENCE PROGRAM.

At the high school level, the HONORS SCIENCE PROGRAM includes courses in Biology, Physics and Chemistry; in addition the Department offers Advanced Placement courses in the disciplines of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Although these represent different areas of study, they all have similar academic requirements and objectives.
