Events Calendar Request
Equality Loudoun makes our community calendar available to our partner programs, members of the Equality Allies, other LGBTQ+ organizations, and community partners. Please feel free to submit your request and our team will evaluate if it works for our community program. 

IMPORTANT NOTES: 
  • Please be very specific in how you enter the requested fields. 
  • Our team will report your answers verbatim, so please don't include extraneous information anywhere except for the open-field questions at the end. 
  • Please email a picture of flyer along with your request to eventscalendar@eqloco.com or we will select a stock photo to accompany your posting.

REQUIREMENTS: All requests...
  • Must be submitted by someone 18 years old or older. 
  • Must be an LGBTQ+ inclusive and accepting venue, event, and staff. 
  • Must be for an intentionally LGBTQ+ serving or affirming event.
  • Only one post per individual or organization per month.
  • Must be for events open to the public.
For example: 
  • An event specifically for LGBTQ+ people and allies at a location that is queer-inclusive would qualify.
  • An event not focused on the queer community at a location that is queer-inclusive would not qualify.
  • An event specifically for LGBTQ+ people at a venue that is not queer inclusive would not qualify.

Use something to the point, short, and that gets your message across.
What organization or group is this for? *
What is the date and time of your event? *
If this is a recurring event, please indicate the recurring basis.

For example, starting on March 1 at 6 p.m. Recurs every month on the first Monday.
What is the location for your event? *
If this is a physical location, please list the name of the business, park, or place (without the address). If this is virtual, please list "Virtual". All specific details like addresses and links should be in the description.
What is the link or email you'd like listed? *
This would be the best place to find more information, register, or contact someone. If you are requesting this to be added to social media, please use a short link (Instagram does not let folks click links) or account handle. 

For example: Visit www.queerevents.org/now or visit us on Facebook at @queerevents.
What is the event description? *
Please be specific, but avoid repeating the date, time, and contact information already listed above. It's helpful to list why this is queer-inclusive or affirming, what services or activities are offered, etc. 

For example, "come hang at a party!" will not sound appealing to a lot of folks, but "We'll have a party-like atmosphere with light refreshments, games, music, and dancing!" will help folks know what to expect.

Please note, space for inclusion may be more limited for some formats and platforms than others.

For example, we can accommodate most requests for including on our web calendar, but social media postings are volunteer dependent and newsletter articles are space limited. We'll do our best!
