In honor of the ACL 100th Anniversary, you do not need to be a member of The American Classical League (ACL) to apply for the grant. If you are not a member of ACL or SCS, $65 of your grant will be applied toward an ACL membership so that you can receive discounts from the TMRC in the future and benefit from all the resources available to ACL members as you begin your program. Non ACL members can request grant funds of up to $235 for books and materials. If you are a member you can request up to $300 to be used completely for books.
Applications will be accepted until June 1st of each year, or until all available book Grant funds for the year have been awarded.A committee will review all applications as they are received by June 1st, and the awardees will be notified after voting and checks will be distributed after approval from ACL. Awardees will be announced at the ACL Institute each year.
You must be a TEACHER to be eligible to apply. There is an additional requirement that if your grant request is approved, you agree to write a 200 - 300 word article about your program and how it helped to promote the study of Classics. Articles will be published with photos or lesson ideas in the ACL newsletter or may be posted on the NCLG website.
