Elect Her Workshop Sign-Up
Elect Her is a daylong training on how to run for student government that focuses on women’s leadership and welcomes all students. Elect Her seeks to create learning environments that foster and promote a culture of respect for people across identities. We welcome and embrace intersections of identity, including gender expression and identity, sex, sexuality, race, ethnicity, national origin, first language, ability, age, religion, party, socioeconomic status, and more.

Women make up half of the population, but less than one in four elected leaders are women. When women run, they win at the same rates as men - the problem is that there aren’t enough women running. Research shows that engaging women in politics in college is key to increasing the number of women in public office. More than 56% of Congresswomen got their start in student government.
Elect Her works. Of the 2016 participants who ran for student office, 90% won!
Since 2009, Elect Her trainings have been held at 124 schools and in 40 states (as well as in 4 countries) for a total of 300+ workshops. About 50% of participants and 50% of trainers are women of color and 99% of 2016 participants reported that they would recommend Elect Her to a friend.

Map out their support networks.
Craft and deliver elevator speeches.
Learn about campaign strategy.
Meet women role models who have run for public office in their community. Network with students who currently serve on their campus student government.
