A4FM In-Person Training: Expression of Interest
With support from Global Affairs Canada, Convergence is proud to introduce a new skill-building initiative under its Blended Finance Accelerator for Fund Managers (A4FM). Blended finance—using catalytic capital from public or philanthropic sources to attract private sector investment—is a key approach to mobilizing investment in emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs).

This skills-building initiative will feature two specialized in-person capacity-building sessions designed to upskill Canadian fund and asset managers in the structuring and design of blended finance vehicles for sustainable investments in Emerging Markets and Developing Economies (EMDEs). These sessions will bring together participants from the Canadian sustainable finance space, equipping them with practical, hands-on knowledge through Convergence’s proprietary training materials and real-world case study presentations from leading fund and asset managers. It will also offer insights from mainstream asset managers and impact fund managers on scoping, launching, and deploying blended finance vehicles to attract concessional and commercial investors, thereby expanding their reach in EMDEs. Both sessions are designed as standalone trainings, and participants are encouraged to attend whichever session best fits their schedule.

We are currently receiving expressions of interest for participation in one or both training sessions, which are expected to be held in Montreal and/or Toronto in Fall 2025 and Winter 2026.
