Thank you for your interest in our Digital Literacy Training Program! The program is open to Rhode Island residents, 18 and older, who are looking to get back into the workforce.

This training runs every other month, each session is 4 weeks long.

THE FIRST DAY IS REQUIRED IN THE BUILDING (33 North Rd, Peacedale, RI 02879)

There is an additional day that will be required in the building (TBD) for the CPR/First Aid training.

All other days are remote via Zoom Monday through Friday 9am-3pm

During the classroom portion of the program, we cover basic computer skills, soft skills, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Google Apps, resume writing, and interview preparation. Upon successful completion, participants receive a NorthStar Certificate of Completion and ServSafe/CPR/First Aid Certifications.

The 4th week is Placement: Students work with the Coordinator to prepare for job seeking through resume and cover letter writing, applying for jobs, interview prep, Indeed/Linked In profiles, etc.

The main goal of this training is to get Rhode Islanders back to work.
