This is an online coding class on Zoom. Students will learn mathematical and computer programming concepts by creating interactive animations, games, stories, and more in Snap programming language. Snap is a free, easy-and-fun-to-learn browser-based educational graphical programming language for young coders. It is a significantly upgraded and enhanced programming language from the highly-regarded Scratch. This class will be taught on Zoom by an experienced computer science teacher.

About Instructor:
Mr. Leo Groner, the instructor, received a B.S. degree in mathematics and an M.S. degree in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). He worked at IBM for years as a computer programmer, manager and technology consultant. In recent years, Mr. Groner developed a passion for teaching and gained California teacher licenses for the subjects of mathematics, physics and computer sciences. He taught software development management at CMU Silicon Valley campus and also AP Computer Science at Daugherty Valley High School. He is now a part time computer science teacher in a high school. Mr. Groner has deep understanding of computer programming and taught computer programming in Snap!, SAS, C++, Java, Javascript, HTML and Python.
