Indigenous Knowledge and Mathematics Education - School Board Math Consultants/Coordinators
In response to the Ministry of Education's Renewed Math Strategy the First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education Association of Ontario (FNMIEAO) is leading a four year initiative connecting Indigenous Knowledge and Mathematics as part of the Math Knowledge Network. The purpose of the initiative is to:
* create a network for knowledge mobilization between faculties of education, school boards, subject associations, teacher federations federally funded schools and other partners in education;
* build strong community relationships to support and create a sustainable Math Knowledge Network;
* highlight and share promising practices to demonstrate the significance of Indigenous Knowledge, including languages, and methodologies that engage students and enhance professional practices;
* improve student achievement, confidence and well-being through culturally responsive pedagogy.

In order to be responsive to the needs of Ontario teachers, we would appreciate your input by completing this survey.
