Robotics Survey
General Information – Robotics is open to students in grades 5-8. You only need to complete this form if you are interested in participating in Robotics.

“Team 1” will primarily be made up of students who competed on the team last year as well as those who were consistent members of the non-competitive Robotics Club last year. All students may request Team 1, students will be added to the team until we have filled all of the available slots.

The competitive team will be competing in an event called the Robotics Track Meet. This event will most likely be virtual this year, but details are still being ironed out. At the very least, we can have an intrasquad meet, where depending on the numbers, we can compete gray vs. maroon.

******A change compared to previous years, is that students will need to compete in any event individually as students will not be able to share parts due to COVID restrictions.*******

Depending on the number of students interested in robotics, we may offer “Team 2” which typically is made up of students who do not have robotics experience. These students will not compete in the Robotics Track Meet. Mrs. Stackpole will coach that team and it will meet one day per week from 2:45-4:00 PM starting after February vacation. Date TBA.

Due to size and materials constraints, the number of students on each team is limited. Those who participated fully on the team last year will be given slots first. The remaining slots will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis, with an equal number of these slots available for each grade level (5-8). If there are more interested students than available slots, some students will not be able to be in the club.

Please complete the form below no later than January, 20th. Parents and students will receive an email letting them know to which team their child has been assigned and the date of the first meeting.
