Welcome to Rural & Plural!
This is a Youth Exchange that invites young people (18-30 years old) to explore, question and re-signify what it means to live in rural areas. This project is designed for participants who live in rural environments, come from a rural background, or who feel a genuine interest in understanding rural life, its challenges, and its hidden opportunities. Together, we will create an intercultural space to share perspectives from different rural communities across Europe and to reflect on what rural identity means today🤝:
Strengths, resilience and potential of rural areas to create meaningful social, cultural and community-based opportunities ✨
The project will be based on non-formal education methods, using creativity and nature as learning tools. Activities will include:
- Photovoice 📸
- Storytelling and visual arts
- Guided walks in nature and Land Art 🚶♀️🌿
- Reflective group sessions
- Intertulcultural exchange and teamwork
These activities will help us connect personal stories with wider social realities and build a shared narrative of what rural Europe can become when youth are included in decision-making processes.⚠️ Important: this is not a touristic experience. But that is exactly what makes this exchange special: it’s a chance to experience rural life from the inside, connect with the truth of these territories, and co-create new ideas and opportunities to make rural areas more inclusive, alive and full of future 🌾💬
Let's co create the villages we dream to live in!
