This 16 hour course is designed for maintenance workers who may disturb, handle, cleanup or remove small quantities of asbestos containing materials.  Whether you currently have an O&M program or need to establish a management plan, this course will provide the necessary information for identifying asbestos, techniques for working with asbestos, locations of asbestos and record keeping.

(*Madison based trainings are for people who have already completed the two day training with us.*)

Every school district is required to have a designated person.  The course is designed for administrators and maintenance personnel who have an interest in managing asbestos and asbestos records but not disturbing or removing it.  The training covers identification of asbestos, record keeping, training requirements and control options.

This course is designed for those who have previously taken the 16 hour O&M course and wish to update their skills and knowledge.  We will do hands-on glove bagging, repair and cleanup as well as a review of many elements of an O&M program.

Awareness training is required by all maintenance and custodial personnel as a minimal training.  Material covered includes history and uses of  asbestos, health effects, recognition of damaged/deteriorating asbestos and requirements relating to housekeeping.


-Wisconsin Dells classes will be held at the Kalahari Waterpark Resort. They also have sleeping rooms reserved should you need one.
