2025 HIPLA Inventor of the Year Nomination Form
It is time to nominate your selections for the HIPLA Outstanding Inventor of the Year Award. Each year, HIPLA strives to recognize one or more inventors for his/her/their outstanding achievements and contributions to Texas and the Gulf Coast area. Winners are celebrated at a HIPLA event, and we coordinate various concurrent publications and accolades to ensure that each inventor and their contributions are appropriately highlighted and honored. 

When submitting your nominations, please emphasize the commercial success or economic importance of the invention or inventions made by your nominee. 

Worthy inventors can only be recognized if our members take the time to make nominations. Your assistance is truly appreciated. 

All nominations must be received by Friday, November 14, 2025.  The Outstanding Inventor of the Year Award Committee will evaluate the nominations and choose the recipients for the award. The winner(s) will be announced after the Committee meets in November and the winner(s) will be honored at a happy hour event in December (specific date TBD based on the availability of the winner).

Note that the committee will not consider inventions based on patents currently in litigation (including reexamination, reissue, and interference proceedings) or that have been held unenforceable or invalid.
