The Wall Between was written over the past several years by two Canadians, one Palestinian and one Jewish, both of whom have been involved in dialogue and human rights work. It was published only weeks before October 7th. As quoted in the introduction: "We have become not only entirely dysfunctional in our discourse, we have become undyingly loyal to this dysfunction. It is time to chart a new path, to challenge the narratives that have become so deeply embedded that we are not really hearing each other at all."
This book will prove to be challenging for everyone in one way or another. The discussion, although difficult, will be a crucial tool to identify specific pain points we carry and to better understand one another. We ask you to bring an open heart to the conversation.
