United Colours of Fashion (UCOF) is a non-profit focused on fashion training and education for immigrants and minorities who self-identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC). In recent years, New Brunswick has witnessed an influx of immigrants from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds with varying skill sets including sewing. United Colours of Fashion (UCOF) seeks to work with diverse individuals and empower them to pursue their business, education or career in the fashion industry.
Mission
To amplify the talents of immigrants and minority entrepreneurs in the fashion industry by creating business opportunities that enable them to become active players towards the growth of the local economy through their skills, vocation, activities, and businesses.
Vision
To be a platform of empowerment for immigrants and minority entrepreneurs to thrive in a dynamic and progressive fashion industry.
Objectives
1. To provide fashion training opportunities to immigrants and visible minorities through partnership with other training institutes.
2. To increase brand visibility for local, newcomer/immigrant businesses in the fashion industry through annual charity fashion shows
3. To support immigrants and minorities with appropriate strategies and resources required in the attainment of their life goals, particularly with regards to the fashion industry.
