Survey: Plastic Bag Ordinance
The Village of South Orange has introduced a new ordinance that would prohibit the use of plastic carry-out bags by retail establishments, restaurants and service businesses while promoting the use of reusable bags.
Please note that this ordinance is not yet law. Before an ordinance becomes law there must be a second reading of the bill along with a public hearing, and that second reading is now scheduled for Monday, February 25th at the Board of Trustees meeting at SOPAC starting at 8:00 PM.
