Thank you for your interest in the CommunityWise Advisory Committee!
This committee is being created to bring together the voices of our members to provide feedback on how we can improve overall operations and member support. The committee is open to all community leaders, grassroots organizers, and nonprofit professionals to help shape the future of CommunityWise.
Hi! My name is Ainsley Osiowy I’m a social work student from Mount Royal University working with CommunityWise to support a grant project. The goal and focus of this project is to develop an Advisory Committee as a way to ensure members help shape the future priorities of communitywise and bring more community voices into the conversation and co-create something meaningful and collaborative.
What You’ll Do as a Committee Member:
✔ Provide valuable feedback and ideas to strengthen CommunityWise operations and programming
✔ Help make CommunityWise more visible and accessible to the community
✔ Collaborate with other community members to advocate for inclusivity and equity
✔ Commit to one year of participation with flexible meeting options (online, in-person, or hybrid)
We welcome anyone to apply, with priority given to individuals with nonprofit experience or from Indigenous, Black, racialized, disability, and 2SLGBTQ+ communities.
