Instructions
Spirit of the Game is mindful behavior practiced by players worldwide prior to, during and after a game, in a mutual effort to protect the basic joy of play.

Self-officiating, Spirit of the Game, and spirit scoring can be impacted by bias. Please mitigate this by following guidance as outlined in the Spirit of the Game section of the Official Rules.

It’s better to address problems early than to mark the other team down at the end – your opponent should not be surprised by the score you are now giving.

It is expected that a typical game is a good game. A score of 2 is a typical, good score, so a typical game has a total score of 6 from each team. Not all examples need to have occurred in order to warrant a certain score.

Spirit scoring is a group effort, so discuss this as a team before submitting. When you're not sure, trust the other team. Spirit is not only scored but also earned as a team -- calls or issues from a single player can become an issue if they are not held accountable by their own team. You may also consider factors that are not described here.

If you give a score of 0 or 4 in ANY category, leave an accompanying comment!
This is so we can be sure it isn't an error, and so we can understand what's happening in unusual games.

Comments will never be shared publicly, so you may be direct, descriptive and specific.

Comments and specific scores will be seen by the event organizers, and the organizers may follow up during the event.

Comments may also be communicated directly with the other team during the event or after the event is over.

=== Scores for Your Own Team ===
The following section is optional. It can be used to record scores you would give to your own team. These will not be used in spirit scoring calculations.

However, it can be a useful exercise to discuss and track how your team is doing, and so you have timely notes about how you performed versus various teams.

This can also be a place to explain to the Spirit Director more details about a complex game (for example, how your communication was in a game that was problematic).
Rules Knowledge and Use (Self) (OPTIONAL)
