Join us for "Through the Wardrobe," an evening celebrating classical Catholic education. In this captivating series of talks, Holy Spirit Preparatory School faculty will share the beauty, truth, and goodness of the classical literature of Western Civilization. We begin the evening with Mass and provide hors d'oeuvres, child care, and beautiful music performed by Holy Spirit Prep scholars. Come and invite your friends to this evening of fellowship and culture!
The second installment of the series this school year is called "Prince of Narnia: The Educational Vision of C.S. Lewis." Drawing from C.S. Lewis's fiction and non-fiction, especially Dr. Cornelius's tutelage of Prince Caspian, Mr. Verlander discusses the role of good stories rooted in permanent things and of direct contact with reality and how these inform true education. Not only does Lewis provide insight into the vitality of a Christian worldview, but he is a master of the good story, and his works convey how to pass on the things that matter most.
