Asian Women's Shelter Domestic Violence Counselor & Language Advocate Training Spring 2018
Thank you so much for your interest in supporting survivors with Asian Women’s Shelter! To become a volunteer or language advocate with AWS, you must first undergo our 64-hour Domestic Violence Counselor training. If you would like to also participate in our MLAM (Multi-Lingual Access Model) program as a language advocate, there will be an additional 16 hours of training.

Our upcoming fall training begins on Friday, September 21st from 9am-5pm and continues every Friday (except for November 9th) at the same time until November 16th. MLAM trainings will be held on Saturday, October 13th and Saturday, November 3rd from 9am-5pm. Please note that if you miss more than 2 days or 16 hours of training, you unfortunately will not be able to graduate. Additionally, we ask for a volunteer commitment of at least 6 months.

Please fill out this application as best as you can. We will begin following up with applicants for interviews toward the end of August. Read more about the volunteer and language advocate programs here:
