International Women's Talmud Day in Cambridge
Open Beit Midrash is excited to come together with Greater Boston and communities from around the world in celebration of International Women's Talmud Day!
International Women's Talmud Day is a day to encourage women’s Talmud study, create a feeling of community among women who study and teach Talmud, and highlight women’s Talmud scholarship. (
). We are excited and honored to participate!
Here in Cambridge, we'll be celebrating by hosting a morning of Torah study, with Rabbi Lila Kagedan, Yoetzet Halachah Sarah Cheses, and Rabbi Miriam-Simma Walfish. We are fortunate to have such Talmud scholars living right here in the Boston area, and honored to have the chance to learn from them! All genders are encouraged to attend.
The learning will take place at the Tremont Street Shul from 9:30am-1:30pm. You can come to one, two, or all three talks. Bagels and Coffee will be served at the start of the day with Gluten Free and Dairy Free options available. The program will cost $5 and, due to limited space, pre-registration is encouraged.
