Alabama Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ACTM) 2019 Fall Forum Speaker Proposal

Theme: Making Math Matter

ACTM seeks speakers who will provide innovative learning activities and informative sessions for teachers of mathematics in Alabama. For priority consideration, please submit proposals by August 1, 2019. Proposals submitted after August 1 may be accepted if all slots in the program have not been filled. Last year, nearly a dozen proposals were not accepted into the program based on late submissions. Please check your email (please also check your spam folder) for an email with registration details in early September. If you not received an email confirming your registration as a speaker/presenter by September 15, please contact Loria Allen at loria.allen@uah.edu confirming your registration. All lead speakers must be registered by September 15 to appear in the program.

You are about to complete your speaker proposal for the 2019 ACTM Fall Forum, to be held at McWane Science Center in Birmingham, AL on November 14-15, 2019. Speaker sessions will be held on both days, November 1st and 2nd as indicated on the form. Sessions will be either regular (45 minutes) or extended (75 minutes) in length. The McWane Conference Center opens Thursday, Nov 14 at 8:00 AM. Thursday sessions are tentatively set to start at 9:00 AM. Friday sessions are tentatively set to begin at 8:30AM. Lunch this year will be on your own both days, with last sessions tentatively ending at 3:30 PM Friday followed by a closing session complete with door prizes at 3:45PM.
