Before beginning your submission, ensure that you have thoroughly read the description at https://sigchi.org/resources/sigchi-development-fund/ and that you have all elements of your submission including a single PDFed document with (1) a Description that answers the questions listed below and (2) a Budget and Budget Justification also explained below.
For the Description:Title: What is the project to be called?People: Who speaks for, and take responsibility for this project? Who else is on the team? What are their qualifications to do this project?Strategic Initiative: What strategic initiative(s) is it supporting and in what way? (SIGCHI EC 2018-2021 Strategic Initiatives can be found at https://sigchi.org/2018/09/sigchi-ec-values-and-strategic-initiatives/)Schedule: When will the activity start and end?Relevance: What SIGCHI members is this activity relevant to? What benefit does it provide SIGCHI members? Goals: What will be the goals/outcome of the project? What do you hope to affect and how could you demonstrate that effect?Communicating Out: Plan for dissemination of results or products of the activities to the SIGCHI membership and any other relevant communities.
For the Budget:Budget: This will take the form of a spreadsheet or table that indicates the costs and income associated with the activity? Specify all income, not only that from SIGCHI. F&A or overhead is an unallowable expense.Budget Justification: This will be in a written form. For each cost in the budget, explain how that number was derived. Specify which costs will be covered by the SIGCHI grant. Explain why the SIGCHI funds are allocated for certain expenses.
