GCPL Game Jam 2023 Submission Form
This game jam is free to enter and open to all ages.
Submissions open on June 1st at 9:00 am and close on July 19th at 12:00 pm.

Submission guidelines
  • Games must be based on an interpretation of the theme: Strange Side Effects.
  • Games can be made in any game engine or coding language (including Scratch) but must be playable via web browser. Upload your game to itch.io for free.
  • Board, card, tabletop, and hybrid game information must be submitted through this form in order for us to demo your game before the Showcase on July 26th.
  • Games cannot contain any NSFW (not safe for work) content or content deemed offensive/discriminatory.
Once you submit the form, you should receive a confirmation email. If selected for the showcase, you should hear back by July 24th.

If selected, you will be expected to show up to showcase your game on July 26th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at our Norcross branch (5735 Buford Highway, Norcross, GA 30071). The showcase will follow a convention-style format where creators will stand at a table to present their game to any interested parties. Some laptops can be provided as needed to show your game, but you will need to bring your own laptops if you want to show off your code or any back-end details.

GCPL reserves the right to use selected games for marketing purposes related only to the Game Jam, including promotion, the showcase, and a post-showcase highlight reel.

Make sure you've uploaded your game to our itch.io Game Jam page.
