Magnet Pride marching group sign-ups
Happy Pride! Thank you for your interest in joining Magnet Theater's LGBTQ+ community for this year's Pride Parade! Here are the details for the event:

  • When: June 28, Sunday, 12-5 PM (exact call time for our group TBD)
  • Where: Meet at Magnet Theater first to assemble. March officially starts from 25th Street and 5th Avenue, and ends at 17th Street and 7th Ave.
  • Who: LGBTQ+ identifying folks and straight allies from the Magnet Theater Community, could be former or current students, had at least one class at Magnet, former or current performers and instructors. Partners, friends and +1s also welcome but they also need to be registered for official head count (Max 50 participants allowed per group).
  • How much to join: Free!
  • Donations: Participants are highly encouraged to share any food, drinks, snacks, pride accessories, sunscreen, first aid, etc. to make the occasion festive and special. We will appreciate any monetary contribution to cover some of the costs for the event - particularly for refreshment and snacks.

The deadline to sign up was on Monday, June 22, 2026. (After this date, please contact Chuck Africa cia218@nyu.edu; we may have remaining slots).

For security and safety, only those who signed up will be given official marcher wristbands. Participants with official marcher wristbands are the only ones allowed to enter the parade formation area and join the marching group.

If you have any questions feel free to send me a message on Facebook or instagram (Chuck Af) or email me Chuck at: cia218@nyu.edu.

Check here if you identify as a straight ally (i.e., any non-LGBTQ+ person that supports LGBTQ+ rights).

If so, we love you!! Also, please know that each marching group has a limit to the number of participants, so we do have to prioritize LGBTQ+ community members for a spot in the Pride March - it's 100 - but we should have plenty of room! Thanks so much for understanding!

Important Information for NYC Pride March Participants

Before you can join the Magnet Theater Community contingent in the march, you'll need to sign a liability waiver and release form. This is a requirement from Heritage of Pride, the official organizers of the NYC Pride march.

Just a reminder: Your decision to march with us is completely voluntary. By signing the form to be provided before the march, you're agreeing to the terms of the liability waiver. You will not be permitted to march with the group unless we receive the signed form.

We'll have copies of the waiver available for signing on the day of the march.
