Why?
The Fayetteville High School Swim Team is one of the top swim programs in the state with 15 state championships. This program prides itself not only on athletic excellence but the ability to build leaders, have outstanding character, and academics.

What do you need for tryouts?
Register for tryouts at http://bit.ly/FHSSwim . This will allow for us to know how many to expect. A signed FAC permission slip (http://bit.ly/FACpermission), updated physical, 1 piece swimsuit, cap, and goggles.

What should I expect to do in tryouts?
Swimmers will have the option to complete their own warm up. When ready, they will swim a 200 Free for time and a 200 IM to demonstrate stroke technique.

When does FHS swim team practice?
FHS swim practice is at Fayetteville Athletic Club from 2:50-4:00 or 4:30 Monday - Friday. There is a bus that takes swimmers from FHS to FAC at 2:15. Swimmers are enrolled in swim during 8th hour and take a 0 hour course on A days other than swim. There 0 hour class could be their English, Science, Band, ect.

I understand that all varsity swimmers are expected to participate in some type of swim training during the summer to be prepared for the start of FHS practices in August. *
If you make the team, do you plan on practicing with FHS or Aquahawgs only? (All FHS swimmers are required to practice 5 days a week, but can practice with Aquahawgs and not FHS; This box will not effect who makes the Varsity team and is for numbers purposes only) *
