1. Students who will be attending elementary school in the fall are challenged to read eight books over the course of the summer. Books over 200 pages may count as two books.
2. Even if a student is already participating in a reading program, they may ‘double dip’ and use those books for Rep. McCombie’s program.
3. Once a student has completed the reading, complete the form below, have a parent or guardian sign off the books were read, and return it to Rep. McCombie’s office by August 19th, 2019
4. Once Rep. McCombie’s office collects all of the forms, kids who successfully completed the readings will be given an ice cream treat and a certificate of achievement. Rep. McCombie will also provide information about state and local education programs.
Reading is great for school, enjoyment, and a lifetime of learning. Every book is a new adventure taking you places you’ve never been before! Have fun over the summer and get “buzzy” reading!
