This survey is designed for newcomers to Canada currently residing in Orillia, ON. These include permanent residents, temporary residents, international students, workers, protected persons and foreign nationals.
This survey is funded through a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF), an agency of the Government of Ontario.
Purpose:
Information Orillia (IO) is undertaking this community-based research to gain deeper insights into the needs of local newcomers. The objective is to collect data on community trends and the demographic composition of our newcomer population. The information gathered will help pinpoint community priorities, as well as identify existing gaps and obstacles in the provision of programs and services. IO will utilize the survey findings to steer collaborative efforts among local organizations aimed at enhancing services and support for newcomers in Orillia.
Researcher:

Participation in this survey is voluntary, and you may choose to skip any optional questions.
Benefits and responsibilities:
50 participants who complete the survey and enter their contact details will be given Gift Cards. The selected winners must agree to participate in focus group interviews.
Confidentiality:
Any personal information provided will be kept confidential and used solely for the purposes of the draw. Data will be securely stored at Information Orillia for, at least, 6 years after the project ends.
