College of Deacons Mentors
As part of our credentialing process, we would like to offer each candidate for diaconal ministry an opportunity to connect with a mentor who is currently serving as a deacon in the DRM. A mentor is meant to be a pastoral and practical resource for candidates, to serve as a model and an encourager, and to be available to answer questions or help with problem-solving as needed. The specific expectations for mentor-candidate relationships are meant to be flexible, adapting to the need and desires of each candidate. Mentors are to check in with their candidates a minimum of once per month, and to pray for their candidates regularly. If you are a deacon currently serving in the Diocese of the Rocky Mountain, we invite you to fill out this brief autobiographical form. We will make this information available to diaconal candidates interested in being connected with a mentor.
