Opting Out of Phone Notifications 2018-2019
In June 2015, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) adopted a new ruling that strengthens consumers’ rights to control the calls they receive. While the ruling was primarily directed against unwanted telemarketing “robocalls,” it also applies to school districts.

As parents/guardians are aware, District 63 sometimes uses an auto-dial system to send out recorded telephone messages regarding key district and school events (for example, school closings, late buses, etc.). Currently, every household is included in this system.

You have the right to opt out of calls by completing and submitting this form. But please note opting out could mean you miss important school and District 63 news -- including emergency updates.

All opt-outs will be verified prior to removing the number from the system. This opt-out will be for all students enrolled in East Maine District 63 who have this number associated with them and is only good for the current school year. Please submit a separate form for each phone number you wish to opt-out.

I choose to opt out of receiving auto-dial calls from District 63 and my student(s) school for the 2016-2017 school year. I understand that, by doing so, I may not receive emergency information and other news from the District or my student(s) school.
