The Student of the Year receives:- An all-expenses-paid trip to San Francisco for the student and one guardian, plus seats at NatureBridge's annual "An Evening with NatureBridge" event in May
- $1,000 discount towards their school's next environmental science trip to any NatureBridge campus
- Recognition on NatureBridge's website and social media channels
What makes a good application?We want to know how NatureBridge impacted the nominee's life. How and why did they change? What do they do differently? Why was the experience so powerful? Did they share what they learned with others? How?
Are there any other requirements?The winning student and a guardian must be able to attend "An Evening with NatureBridge" in San Francisco, CA (2026 event date TBD). The winning student will speak in front of an audience of 400 people.

A: Nope! You can be nominated as long as you attended a NatureBridge program within the past five years.
Q: Can I nominate myself or a fellow student?
A: Absolutely! Anyone can nominate any student who attended a NatureBridge program within the past five years.
Q: What if I'm not very confident in my public speaking skills?
A: Never fear! Our kind and talented Communications Team will help you with every step from writing your speech to practicing speaking in front of people before the night of the event (the winning student must be available to meet with NatureBridge staff either in-person or virtually the week before the event).
