The Action Committee plans events around campus and the city to educate and raise awareness for human rights issues like the unjustified imprisonment of activists or government policies aimed at cutting human rights down. They do this through organising letter writing campaigns, like the yearly Write for Rights marathon, protests, petition promoting and other actions.
Education Committee
This committee educates people on human rights issues. They do this by organising lectures, debates and movie screenings on topics that are related to human rights. The purpose is to inform students and to spark a debate on the current affairs which stimulates informed reflection on these issues.
Social Committee
The Social Committee organises the informal events within the student group. The purpose of this group is to bring the group closer together. In the past, they organised a board game night, a social drink, a picnic at the beach and bowling.
PR Committee
This committee is in charge of the promotion of all of our events. This includes both social media PR and PR on the streets of Nijmegen. Are you creative and do you want to learn how to design social media posts? Do you enjoy seeing people hyped up for an event that you promoted? And do you want to contribute to make our student group bigger?
Gender Committee
The gender committee works close with Amnesty Netherlands and focuses on all things regarding LGBTQIA+ rights and women's rights. They focus on education and the improvement of social safety and gender equality on campus. In the past, they organised a Drag Workshop and interviewed people about abortion.
