You are asked to volunteer for a research study. Your participation is voluntary and there are no penalties for declining or discontinuing participation and the alternative is to not participate. There are no individual rewards for participation. The purpose of the study is to collect information about your experiences in a new format of debate. The study will run from Fall 2019 to Spring 2021.

Participants respond to an online survey taking less than 10 minutes to complete. Risks of participation are negligible, with the largest being that researchers may be able to infer your participation in the debate activity and the study. Your responses are secured and only de-identified, aggregated data will be shared with colleagues for the purpose of publication.
