Reader Brunch at the Park 2020 Food Vendor Agreement

Subject to the provisions of this Agreement, San Diego Reader hereby establishes a sponsorship agreement for Vendor pursuant to which Vendor will participate in the San Diego Reader Brunch at the Park event promotion.

Participating company agrees to provide:
850 2-4oz samples for tasting
All appropriate serving ware (cups, plates, napkins, utensils, etc.)
Booth staff
Handwashing station
Fire extinguisher

San Diego Reader agrees to provide:
Name recognition on applicable ads including flyers/posters, Reader/SDReader.com
Temporary Food Facility Permit (if vendor does not have a catering license)
Tables and Tent


Event will start on time. Exhibitors are required to set up and be ready to pour/serve at least 60 minutes ahead of VIP admission. VIP admission 11:00AM. General Admission 12:00-3:00PM. Booths must remain open for the entire duration of the event. Space reservation at Reader Brunch at the Park requires the signing of this agreement. Registration and booth space will not be confirmed until contract is received. Signature constitutes company agreement to abide by all rules and policies of the event. The San Diego Reader reserves the right to refuse service to any individual or company.

Vendor participation in the event is free and includes either a 1/4 page ad in the Reader (value ($750) or $250 cash. In the event that vendor does NOT participate in the event as scheduled vendor is responsible for the cost of the TFF permit and booth rental fees. Initial. *

(Specifically we are looking for: breakfast sandwiches, pancakes waffles, french toast, eggs/omelets/egg dishes, sausage and bacon, potatoes and hash browns, breakfast burritos, bagels, donuts, scones, muffins, cinnamon rolls, fruits, parfaits, granola, Toasts- like avocado toast, Breakfast burgers or tacos) *

If you don't already have a catering license, participant understands that they must submit a Temporary Food Facility Permit Questionnaire (The Reader will provide this to you) to the San Diego Reader by August 7, 2020 (initial) *
I/my company agrees to provide an approved Hand Washing Station for my booth staff. *
Participant understands load-in begins on October 17th, 2020 at 8:00 AM, must be completed by 10:30 AM, and Participant must be ready to serve at 10:30 AM. *
Participant understands tear down of booth space will not begin until the event ends at 3:00 PM. *
Participant agrees to indemnify and hold San Diego Reader, its sponsors and its host charity, Traveling Stories, and their respective officers, employees and volunteers, harmless from any and all claims, damages or injuries caused by Participant’s participation at Reader Brunch at the Park. Participant accepts full responsibility and liability for the actions of all persons attending this event, including all guests of and persons employed by the Participant or volunteering for the Participant for the event. *
Company/company representatives may be filmed and photographed during the event and I give San Diego Reader and agents thereof permission to do so and grant to the San Diego Reader the absolute and irrevocable right and unrestricted permission concerning any photographs. All footage is the property and rights of the San Diego Reader and I/my company will not receive any compensation for the use of any images or likeness in the filming or airing of the footage. San Diego Reader reserves the right to use all information and photos in Event promotional materials including, but not limited to, the official Website, advertising and marketing collateral, to use, reuse, publish, and republish the photographs in whole or in part, individually or in connection with other material, in any and all media now or hereafter known, including the internet, and for any purpose whatsoever, specifically including illustration, promotion, art, editorial, advertising, and trade, without restriction as to alteration; and to use my name/company name in connection with any use the San Diego Reader so chooses. *
I/my company releases and discharges the San Diego Reader from any and all claims and demands that may arise out of or in connection with the use of photographs, biographies, or information, including without limitation any and all claims for libel or violation of any right of publicity or privacy. This authorization and release shall also inure to the benefit of the heirs, legal representatives, licensees, and assigns of the San Diego Reader, as well as the person(s) for whom the San Diego Reader took the photographs. I am a legally competent adult and have the right to contract in my own and my company’s name. I have read this document and fully understand its contents. *
